The Tanala of south eastern Madagascar are faithful to traditional religious practices based on animism and ancestor worship. They fear upsetting the spirits and do all they can to please them. Although some church planting has occurred in the past few years, there is so much more work to do among the Tanala. Very few are evangelical believers but sending more workers can help to encourage and strengthen them as they continue to grow.
