June 10

Published on June 10, 2019 under prayer

The Zaramo of coastal Tanzania are a Bantu tribe who have mixed their traditional religions with the relatively newly introduced (last 100 years) Islam. They make sacrifices to a spirit called “Kolelo” and have ceremonies around the harvest. There are scattered churches of non-Zaramo people in the area, but Christianity is considered the religion of outsiders, and there are only a few Zaramo believers. Pray for God’s Spirit to fill the Zaramo with His truth.
