2nd Annual MAC Camp Gala: May 29
MAC CAMPS was founded in 2016 by John & Jennifer Brown after twenty years leading medical, educational and spiritual services to the people of Africa on their home continent.
In the last six years the Browns became increasingly aware of the growing African population right in Canada. Many arrive here after years of tumult in war-ravaged countries or after long months languishing in refugee camps. Sometimes children and teens arrive in Canada before their parents. Often they struggle with the aftereffects of violence in their homeland. Almost always they feel dislocated by a new language, new schools, and new expectations.
The goal of MAC CAMPS is to give these African and refugee children the chance to get out of the city and be refreshed in our great Canadian wilderness. John says, “We are committed to giving these kids the experience of a lifetime. We want to grow their self-confidence, help them make and keep friends, and gain a deeper understanding of their Creator.”
Join us for African inspired dinner, live music, inspiring testimonies and more!
